Black Americans are randomly marked for death by Latino gang members in the Los Angeles area and beyond simply because of their race. Some of the gang members are illegal aliens, enjoying protections offered them by L.A.’s status as a sanctuary city.
One such gang is the Florencia 13. Leaders from jail sometimes “ordered killings of black gangsters and then, when the intended victim couldn’t be located, said ‘Well, shoot any black you see.'” (Lee Baca, Sheriff of Los Angeles County)
Los Angeles, March 4, 2008. Jamiel Shaw, a 17-year old African American high school football star, was “gunned down in broad daylight on the sidewalk by Latino gang members…”
December 15, 2006. Cheryl Green, a 14-year-old African American, was murdered by members of a Latino gang. (Photo: Many gang members are illegals from Mexico and Central America.)
“The Latino gang members were looking for a black person, any black person, to shoot, the police said, and they found one…Green was shot dead in a spray of bullets that left several other young people injured.”
According to Professor Tanya K. Hernandez, “…there was really nothing new about it. Rather, the murder was a manifiestation of an increasingly common trend: Latino ethnic cleansing of African Americans from multiracial neighborhoods.”
“The fact is that racism-and anti-black racism in particular-is a pervasive and historically entrenched reality of life in Latin America and the Caribbean. More than 90% of the approximately 10 million enslaved Africans brought to the Americas were taken to Latin America and the Caribbean…whereas only 4.6% were brought to the United States,” (Photo: Cheryl Green)
“The legacy of the slave period in Latin America and the Caribbean is similar to that in the United States…having darker skin and African features severely limits social mobility.” (It also has a negative effect on blacks running for office in a Latin country.)
Professor Carol Swain of Vanderbilt University said recently (on Lou Dobbs), “I would like to see the candidates (for president) deal with the fact that, in some parts of the country, there’s a war between African-Americans and Latinos, with Latino gangs targeting even innocent African-Americans that happen to walk in the wrong place.”
Ethnic cleansing has been going on in California for a good part of the last two decades. “Four members of a Latino gang (August 2, 2006) were found guilty of unleashing a barrage of assaults and killings (from 1995 to 2001) to push African Americans out of the predominately Latino community in northeast Los Angeles.”
This was the “first time a street gang had been convicted of breaking federal hate crimes, traditionally employed against white supremacist groups like the skinheads and the Ku Klux Klan.”
Former L.A. County Deputy District Attorney Michael Camacho: “There’s absolutely no motive absent the color of their skin.”
Tony Rafael, L.A. gang expert: “…they (Latino gangs) don’t want their neighborhoods infested with blacks, as if it’s an infestation. It’s pure racial animosity that manifests itself in a policy of a major criminal organization.” (The Mexican Mafia has given the “green light” for gang members to kill black Americans.)
As a result, there is a Black flight from the city of angels. “In Los Angeles…the black population has declined by some 123,000 in the last 15 years, while the Hispanic population has increased by more than 450,000. (many illegal)
George Bush is responsible for deliberately failing to protect American citizens from being murdered by armed foreign invaders, a criminal act and a violation of Article IV, section 4, of the U.S. Constitution:
“The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and…against domestic violence.”
Unfortunately, Bush’s loyalty is to corporate America (Wal-Mart, General Electric) and the merger of a corporate region of North America (Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America), served by cheap foreign labor. The deaths of American citizens are simply collateral damage.
Maybe since they don’t have the assets and connections to circulate in your world of movers and shakers, they don’t mean that much, George. They can be replaced. After all, there are millions more just across the border.
For some, this story doesn’t have a happy ending. As James Lewis, LAPD probation officer said: “I don’t see much history left for blacks in Los Angeles.”
