CO2mainnewsIn about two hundred years, humans have managed to make it impossible for life to exist on Earth. And as expected, humans will continue to go on, ignoring the trashing of our planet. The “leaders of nations and regions” continue with pleasing their supporters and staying in power. And, as I have watched this dying planet, the ordinary citizens have no idea the horrible fate that is in store for billions of citizens. And how can they still believe that we will fix the problem by doing nothing?  But for now, and for the future, the only goals the government officials and CEOs have, are to continue “growing the economy” so they can rake in the profits.

The president of the United States and other “world leaders”, including government officials and corporate CEOs, are more concerned with growing the economy, so they have chosen to ignore the clear and present threat that will soon end all the dreams Earthlings ever had.

HERE ARE SOME FACTS FROM A NUMBER OF CLIMATE CHANGE EXPERTS THAT WILL EXPLAIN OUR FAILURE TO STOP THE EARTH FROM  BURNING UP ALL LIFE ON THIS PLANET-HUMAN, ANIMAL AND PLANTS:

Dar Jamail is the author of “Are We Falling Off the Climate Precipice? Scientists Consider Extinction.” Here is evidence from experts who are warning the world that extinction is on our doorstep. So far governments and corporations have ignored the danger to our planet. And a number of scientists think that it is already too late and it’s a downhill slide from here on. Here is some of the evidence again. Link to source.

Dar Jamail:

“Some of them (climate scientists) even think that, if the record ongoing releases of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, thanks to the burning of fossil fuels, are aided and abetted by massive releases of methane, an even more powerful greenhouse gas, life as we humans have known it might be at an end on this planet. They fear that we may be at –and over–a climate change precipice hair-raisingly quickly.”

“Guy McPherson, professor emeritus of evolutionary biology, natural resources, and ecology at the University of Arizona and a climate expert of 25 years,” told Jamail.

“We’ve never been on a planet with no Arctic ice, and we will hit the average of 400 ppm…within the next couple of years. At that time, we’ll also see the loss of Arctic ice in the summers… This planet has not experienced an ice-free Arctic for at least the last three million years.”

IF THE ARCTIC  ICE MELTS COMPLETELY – WHAT THEN:

arctic-blog480“…minus the reflective ice cover on Arctic waters, solar radiation would be absorbed, not reflected, by the Arctic Ocean. That would heat those waters, and hence the planet, further. This effect has the potential to change global water patterns, vary the flow of winds, and even someday possibly alter the position of the jet stream. Polar jet streams are fast flowing rivers of wind positioned high in the Earth’s atmosphere that push cold and warm air masses around, playing a critical role in determining the weather of our planet.”

NOTICE HOW QUICKLY OUR WEATHER PATTERNS HAVE DRAMATICALLY CHANGED OVER THE LAST DECADE. STAY TUNED.

McPherson: “We’ve never been here as a species and the implications are truly dire and profound for our species and the rest of the living planet.”

“Professor Peter Wadhams, a leading Arctic expert at Cambridge University has  been measuring Arctic ice for 40 years…” His conclusions are absolutely without any doubt:

“The fall-off in ice volume is so fast it is going to bring us to zero very quickly,” Wadhams

Professor Wadhams  estimates  ‘with 95% confidence’ “that the Arctic will have completely ice-free summers by 2018. (U.S. Navy researchers have predicted an ice-free Arctic even earlier — by 2016.)

Serious changes will take place in the next 5 years as the ice melts. And all studies so far reveal an end game to life on Earth, much quicker than expected.

Arctic iceberg“British scientist John Nissen, chairman of the Arctic Methane Emergency Group ….suggests that if the summer sea ice loss passes ‘the point of no return,’ plus ‘catastrophic methane feedbacks” kick in, we’ll be in an ‘instant planetary emergency.’”

If this huge amount of methane releases from the seas and more CO2 spreads across the  Earth, the end game is much closer. According to Wadham, “The seabed…is offshore permafrost, but is now warming and melting. We are now seeing great plumes of methane bubbling up in the Siberian Sea…millions of square miles where methane cover is being released.”

According to Nature Geoscience …”twice as much methane as previously thought is being released from the Siberian Arctic Shelf, a two million square kilometer area off the coast of Northern Siberia.”

In this scenario, the Arctic ice would melt and temperatures climb quickly to a level beyond the ability of humans to survive. Experts project the end of completely ice-free summers, starting between 2016 and 2018.

A planet out of control is a step toward the end of life on Earth since no one is doing anything-anywhere, to stop our rush to extinction. And time is quickly running out.

“Oil companies no longer deny what is happening; they are exploring in the Arctic, where snow-covered ice, until recently, used to be.” At this meeting of stock holders of Exxon Mobil CEO, Rex Tillerson more or less said full speed ahead. On May 29th,  he mentioned mitigating after the damage (maybe). His concern was not with saving the planet: Profits are always the most important goal. (Source of article link below is Eric Zuesse)

Tillerson – “What good is it to save the planet if humanity suffers? … We do not see a viable pathway with any known technology today to achieve the 350 [parts per billion atmospheric carbon] out come that is not devastating to economies, societies and peoples’ health and well-being around the world… You cannot get there. …”

Tillerson would rather destroy planet Earth, divide up the 45 billion dollars at the stockholders convention and the $40.3 million in total compensation he received. Corporation CEOs are not able to deal with reality.  They seem to not understand that our overpopulation and all other creatures on Earth will not survive. There will be no one left, no food, not enough water, just a destroyed world beyond repair.

Here is the end game. Our president is doing nothing toward stopping global warming. CEOS are also doing very little. The rest of the planet-not much. They “may” address the problem if time allows. Tillerson  said he would rather  “mitigate and prepare for the consequences as they present themselves.” Meaning maybe. “We’ll see what the damage is and then we’ll see about fixing it.

So far, fixing the damage hasn’t worked at all. It’s all downhill. So far deaths from climate change is estimated to be 5 million each year.

PLANET EARTH IS TOAST.
